Default 03 F150 super crew tire change info

Hi guys im new here. I'm buying my second f150 used and noticed the owner changed the tire size and lifted the truck 2 inches. I primarily use my trucks for commuting to work and towing fishing boats and other various trailers on the weekends. What I want to know is with a bigger tire and lift. How will this effect my ability to tow, will it hit my MPG hard and will i loose over performance? The original tires size is 245/75/R16 the new tires are A/T at 265/70/R17 so a 30inch tire going to a 31.5 roughly. Is there any reason I should need to rear gear the truck. Based on the VIN it appears to have 3.55 ratio and 5.4L V8

Takes some power away.....not enough to notice.

My 5.4 4x4 screw came stock with tow package, lt2657017, and 3.73 gears. I run lt2857017. No problems.

Yea that's what most of them are, - it's rare to have gotten 3.73's even w/tow package.
