So ive had my truck for about 2 years now and I guess its time to do a build thread
Ive tried to do this several times and either the app crashes or I accidentally back out or what ever. So im going to do it in several posts.
Bought my truck in may of 2013
Was completely stock except for terrorable train horn that was located where the spare goes and a cheapo pioneer head unit. But the truck was immaculate both in and out. 02 4x4 with a 5.4 this is the oldest pic I can find.

Unfortunately I only had the truck for 3 months and the motor went. Very disappointed considering I really went over the truck very well. I do know what im doing because my father is a auto mec and owned shops. Plus he worked for ford for 19 years. So ive always been turning wrenches. I had low compression on cylinders 1 2 5 and 6. Very sad. But she did good by me and crapped out in my driveway instead of on the highway 60 miles from home. So out with the old and in with the new. While I was in there I decided to do some rust treatment on basically everything from the bumper to just behind the firewall.
To add to my streak of bad luck I had to turn the truck around because it was in my driveway the wrong way so by brother-in-law helped. He had good intentions but doesn't listen to anyone. So he hit my truck with his.

Well now that were past that lets get to the good stuff

My first mods to the truck were some lights under the front doors. I live in a very dark wooded area so this was a must

I figured I'd give it a shot doing the body work myself.
First thing I did was pull the dent out as much as possible. I used a bunch of tools like pry bars slide hammer etc... got it as close as I could so I didnt have to add much bondo.

Decided to give plastidip a try until I can afford to have it professionally painted.
I think it turned out pretty good. So I did the other side to match.

At some point I did a skyjacker aal. Raised the rear end up about 2.5" it looked like a cat in heat so cranked the t bars up. Tinted front windows to match the rear.

Not a ton of reviews but got them for a incredible price so I took a chance.
Couldn't be happier ive since ran them about 15k and the tread wear is incredible. Came with 18/32 still have about 16/32

Unfortunately my bad luck strikes again. Nearly the same location that I had already done the body work got hit by a ladder on a concrete truck at work. Broke the new taillight too

With the winter and christmas just about here I didnt have the money or time to really do the paint properly. So I just re plastidipped it and will get . It painted some time this spring. I think this was also the time that I plastidipped the badges on the fenders. I do like how the badges turned out but hate the way the rear corner looks.

So thats basically how it sat for the winter with only a few modifications.
I was stocking up on parts for when the weather got nice againx I bought a ton of supplies from Eastwood to get ahold of the rust on my undercarriage which I am expecting to take about 10 to 12 hours of stripping and painting. my gas tank started to leak due to the rusty straps so I replace the gas tank and had Ford replace the straps under the recall.
Replace shocks on all four corners with bilstein 4600's
And a list of just regular maintenance items that I can't even begin to remember. Such as the deive shaft, u joints, brakes, mass air flow sensor, coils, plugs, iac. Just to name a few.
Basically whole new front end including upper control arms with new ball joints, lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, sway bar endlinks. Only replace with quality products. Should have bought stock in moog.
