02 Steering colomn question
Hi, I'm new to this site. So if I am doing anything wrong I apologize.
I have an 02 f150 manual trans that my ignition cylinder broke in. I had the truck running to get me home by putting the key in, but starting it with a screwdriver(pushing the linkage forward). Unfortunately I broke a wire that leads to a little tab inside the ignition cylinder housing. I assume this is part of the anti theft because the motor will turn over but not start.
If I get a junkyard column can I just swap it without needing anything to be programmed by the dealer? Anyone have any other solution?
