Tow hooks are different also. And my 03 and my dad 03 have the cubby under the steering wheel ( mines a King Ranch Supercrew his is a XLT Supercab )

 

Mines an 02 fx4 and it has the rounded handles but it's a really early 02. I think they changed the handle to the squares ones on the 02s and 03s but early 02s didn't get the square one. I think I've see a couple 02s with the blue ford emblem. I think the cubby was just an option on all of them but I don't have it. Most later 02s and 03s also have a square glove box handle too and I've also seen an 03 that had little plastic lines on the 4x4 switch that mine did not. Later 02s and 03s also have different door lock and window switches too. That's all I can think of right now. I don't know why they changed this stuff either. Kinda weird.

 

03 screw fx4 lariat, cubby hole, newer handles, and auto climate which probably came before 03. Also I wish I had bucket seats.

 

99-03 tow hooks are all the same. If they are different they have been replaced.

 

My 03 FX4 Larait SuperCrew had the cubby hole. My 03 FX4 Larait SuperCab also had the cubby hole.

2003 the oh **** handle was more square.
2002-2003 was the only years that you could get Climate Control.
2002-2003 was the only years that they had FX4
2001-2003 was the only years with SupeCrews

I have electric climate control also. Could I change my handles only or the whole piece?

 

You'd have to change the whole pillar cover. Why would you want to though?

 

Just something to improve I guess. We just got a pull apart around so I'm gonna go look around.

 

You can get the lower dash panel with the cubby hole, like 8 or so screws, 2 on the ebrake release and 2 on the hood popper, maybe 4-5 others around the edges.

 

Yeah that's what I was hoping I could just swap that piece.
