FX4 tails with black edges
Thread title should be: FX tails with black painted & siliconed edges
Update: Asking $160 including shipping. Good condition. Looking to see if someone who has more money than time is willing to pay extra to own a set without having to do the tedious painting work (takes several hours) and buy the materials needed to paint them.
I used Anitas black metallic paint and they came out great.
Then I ran a bead of black RTV silicone around the top and side edges (towards the front of the vehicle) of each lamp for rainproofing. No chance of rain or hose water getting in these. I have noticed temporary condensation inside the RH lamp during the winter where I live. It always goes away and is within spec, per the owners manual. The LH lamp has not gotten any condensation.
The only reason I'm selling them is I want to go back to a more factory look on the tails with the other mods I have planned. If I had a black truck, I would keep them.
(LED reverse bulbs not included - but all of the stock incandescent bulbs will be included).
Due to the fact that these have painted and siliconed edges, I think that $160 is a fair asking price.
