Default WANTED: Carb and Intake

I got a 1982 f150 straight six and before I make ANY real modifications to her I need to start with the Carb and Intake. Its got that Ford Motorcraft stock single barrel in her Yeah. Big woop. And I'm looking for something with more oomph. So I figure start with carb, intake, then exhaust (which will be decided upon after carb installation to determine power in her. Lots of torque in low RPMs. Love it. Wanna keep it that way) Then start on her cosmetic mods.
Already simplified the Vac system and removed EGR Smog and all that nonsence.
Now I'm just looking for anyone whos got an old or extra two or four barrel carb and/or intake they'd be willing to sell me. I dont even mind rebuilding the carb as long as I can find a kit. I just need somethin to do on a low budget. Just moved to DC area and all i got to do is work and wrench....
Would love replies.
Thanks a million Ya'll
-Chris

Thanks mud!
I think the 4bbl would be a little too much power for my 4.9 though. Dont wanna burn through gas any worse than I already am you know? Thinkin a 2bbl will do the trick. And I dont think I gotta mod the intake manifold with a 2bbl. Just an adapter plate
