Default Sandy Neck Beach

Well, all this snow has me thinking about summer. Wondering if anyone else around ever goes out to Sandy Neck on Cape Cod? I brought my old 150 out there a bunch, and brought the new one a few times this last year. I'm planning on doing a 2" suspension lift and getting the camper out there. Here's a couple pics:

^On the beach... I know there is at least one other 150 out there

^And the camper I'm gonna be bringing out.

Nice camper! How much does it weigh? I am thinking about a pop up or truck camper. My truck has limited capacity. Approximately 2000 lbs

The camper sticker says its about 1200lbs wet weight (propane, water, etc) and with the little things I've added and carry, I'm guessing I'm pushing 1600lbs. That's without people and such too. It adds up quick, but the truck seems to do fine with the weight. The 5.4 doesn't have trouble handling the hills, but I think better brakes may be in my future.

I'd recommend getting overload springs or airbags put in if you go the truck camper route. I added a set of SuperSprings onto mine and it sits pretty level with all the weight. If you go the pop-up route, you should be alright without these.

The weight is a lot less than I thought. It makes sense to beef up suspension. Thanks for the information. Enjoy the Cape this year! It is a great place for vacation.
