90 e40d what years are the same

Default 90 e40d what years are the same
I have a 1990 4x4 xlt lariat, need tranny all i can find is a 1995 e4od will it fit? Same 351 motor.

To all that looked at this thread all 351 e4od trannys would work up to 1995 when they changed plugs. Up to 1991 tranny had rod shift linkage after that they changed to cable. I believe linkage supports and levers could be changed. Thanks for your input
