When to change oil

Depends on what oil. Straight conventional I would go 3000. The motorcraft semi they recommend, or a all synthetic I wouldn't change before 5000. Some go by the computer, personally I like 5000. Easy to keep up with.

I'm going by the computer. Nothing to remember. When the truck tells me it's time, I take it in.

Every 3000 miles, or 3 months, whichever comes first. That is what I was always told, and that's what I do. Also, I am a fan of Lucas oil treatment, IMO it adds life to your engine. I use conventional oil, Havoline to be exact.

Go by the computer. 3 months or 3k is a thing of the past and from a few articles I read was a way to sell more oil. Newer engines can go up to 10000 miles without changes. Just check it regularly to make sure it's full.

Lucas is nothing but base oils and its viscosity is horrendous for cold oil flow. Look up the virgin sample of it, no antiwear additives are not a good quality for anything in the sump.
