Who all is in Kansas City (or at least close)? A few of us on the forum are trying to start a local 'in person' F150 club to meet once a month or so, just to spend a day, talk trucks, help each other with projects, etc. Give a shout if you're interested!

We are still around. You have to try harder... like plan something and get 2-3 people to show up. AFter 3-4 months you'll have 10+ and eventually it will be really cool but you just have to do the hard part first and be the only member. Post a reminder a week in advance and search the forum to make a list of everyone in KC metro.

I am near Zona Rosa. Just bought 1997 F150 XL 4x4. Need tranny help.

whats up with the tranny? auto or manual?

I have one for sale but it is for a 2x4. :censored: only thing I can do as far as transmission work is R&R.

What are you needing done? Full rebuild? Manual or Auto?

Full rebuild 4r70w auto 4x4 with 4.6v8. Got some that can do for $1000 complete.

You pull it and I might be able to get it done at that price without a convertor

New torque converter, clutches, filters, etc. pulled/rebuilt/installed for $1000. I guess this is the best rate I will find. I do appreciate the help though. I am going to start updating/customizing around Feb. 2011.

Better have a good warranty for that price....I doubt you get a good one at that price.

The other qoute I had was $1300 with 6 mth warranty. But, the guy that will do the work for $1000 comes highly recommended from my boss' family. Still have to hash out warranty details. Yes, I do believe that most of the time we get what we pay for. But, every now and then we get lucky.

parts alone are in the $1k price range.

Best offering around here is $1500 for a R&R with a 2 year warranty

Hey, I'm a new member and new (to me) 07 Screw owner in KCK out by the Speedway. I wouldn't mind a meet up for some BBQ or maybe mild off road action.

Hey KC guys , I'm needing some help and figured this might be a good section to get it ??
I rolled my 02 scab long bed so I'm looking for a cab with full interior (prefer grey interior) to replace mine. 4X4 ,automatic ,5.4 but a 4.6 one will work. I have front clip , doors ,bed and a lot of other parts.

OR a screw 4x4 that the drive train shot. I would rather have a screw but ill see what happens.

My drive train only has 40,000 miles !

I have several of these year trucks for parts to barter with plus cash.

I know there are a lot of trucks out there that would work for what I want at a reasonable price .....I just can't seem to find them.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If a scab cab hoping to keep it under $800 but depending on what's all there.

If its a screw I'll need complete ( keeping in mind I don't have to have fenders, nose piece ,hood or drivetrain) truck. Around $2-3000 depending on condition and what it needs.

Like I said earlier I would rather have the screw but I'm going to need more parts which is fine by me.

I bought a cab from Iowa for $250 .....problem was they gutted the interior, and I hate doing interior. And cut radiator support with sawzall to get motor out.

I just bought a 97 5.4 4x4 scab it's just toy. It is in amazing shape and only has 86k miles when I get back to olathe i'll post some pics. I'm trying to build a nice show/fishing truck. I'm an agricultural chemist (I research and produce chemical fertilizer) that said I am rarely home but when I am I plan on spending the winter in the garage with it. Does anyone know a transmission shop in KC that can put mine on a good steroid regiment? :thumbsup:

If your looking for a place that does hardcore 4x4 stuff with tranys and diffs look up 4x4 land in topeka.

Yeah i have heard good things about them I haven't ever had a 4x4 though so I never got out there. I didn't know they did tranny and diff stuff but hell if they can do it then they have my business. I was gonna go talk to chux trucks but they were trying to rape me on my srt suspension and I don't like being raped...not one of my favorite things.

Born and raised in kc and so was my truck! Is the kc f150 club idea still rolling? Im new to the forum

I'm still looking for a 01-03 super crew XLT . 4x4 tow package. Looking for dark blue or maybe black with grey cloth interior. Some mods already done is a plus. FX4 Is a plus.
Let me know if you guys have something or knows of someone that does. Hopefully close by somewhere. Drive train not so important as I have complete drive train with 40,000 miles.

I just picked up my first F150. 2012 Lariat screw Eco. Absoulety love it espeacially coming from a chevy!!!! Just thought Id intoduce myself. Im about 45-60 min east of KC......a little place called Knob Noster......or maybe Whiteman AFB...might be more sustanable for a location..

I live in Lenexa. I can make it January 8th. But not the following weekend because I work out of town every other week. Looking forward to it!
