Thumbs up Second USB port to be connected

I had been asking myself, "why?" ....is it really needed? But for $4.11 (more than half of which was shipping cost), how could ya not want to go ahead and activate USB2? I figured it was probably worth four bucks and twenty minutes of my time to leave the MP3 player permanently connected and out of sight in the glove box.

So off to monoprice.com to order item # 5447 (3' cable) and the female-to-female A adapter (item #362) so the little MP3 stick player can be hooked up and Lynyrd Skynrd can be blastin' out. (Turn it up...)

Thumbs up Yeah...I first ran across them here.

I was at Micro Center yesterday to pick up a free 4GB promotional thumb drive they're offering and thought I'd check pricing for the two items I bought from monoprice.com. The same three foot cable was $9.99 (mono was $1.14) and the USB A female-to-female connector/adapter that was 85 cents at mono, Micro Center did not have. So just the amount of sales tax you'd pay on the cable would about cover the cost of the USB A adaptor from monoprice.com!
