Hi, I recently picked up a 2010 F150 and my phone works with the SYNC when I am using it as a phone but will not display or read any text messages. Not sure if I am just not smart enough or if my phone lacks the capability. It is a Samsung Instinct, if it's the phone I guess I'm do for a new one anyhow, so if you have a list of what works with it that would be great too.

I don't believe it works in Canada, I have an iPhone and when I looked into it I found the service provider had to support Bluetooth text messaging, which my provider apparently does not do. The same thing with my girlfriends phone which is a different make and different provider. Would be interested in knowing if someone has made it work though.

 

It works. I've used it in rentals. Both my Rogers phone and my Telus phone.
