Wish we had more cops like you in Alberta.
I'll try to remember to ask my friend for my details about exactly what the guy said to him about multiple tickets being illegitimate.

Alberta. Land of the supped up trucks with ultimate douchbags wearing white framed sunglasses. As for the FPS'er who thinks were watching... you really have that much hatred ? Life must be real hard huh ? First world problems and all.....

- flat brimmed cap
- 2 sizes too small Tap-out or Affliction T-shirt
- full sleeve Tribal Tattoo... even though you have no idea what it means
- and if your in the top 10% elite.. a set of fake bullballs on your trailer hitch.
All in fun of course.

What a jerk. I've had one run in with RCMP that actually went surprisingly well, vs. a couple with city cops which gave me an awful opinion of them. I consider myself to be a pretty respectful person that is easy to get along with, but the city cops were awful and came off all high and mighty.
In the case of the RCMP officer I dealt with, it was the complete opposite. I was actually busted for doing 154 in 110 km/h zone. I had taken my car up to 170 km/h at one point, and was testing it out (OK, I know this is stupid, it was a one time thing though.. I just wanted to see what my car at the time would do.. and I was young/stupid at the time). He mentioned it took him a bit to catch up to me (probably because I had the pedal on the floor for a bit).
Anyways, I thought the RCMP would tear my head off when he came by (I fully expected this, and was actually a little scared), but instead he was pretty chatty and really nice about it. He asked me what I was speeding for. I told him I was in a hurry to get to Calgary. So he said he'd make the ticket as quick as possible to get me on my way (so I wouldn't feel more need to speed there). He then saw I was from Edmonton and joked that "most Edmontonians race to get out of Calgary, not into it". I mentioned I was off to see the football game there, and was heading to a friends first.
Anyways, he was an older guy, maybe in his 50s, but was a real nice guy. I think it goes without saying that not all cops/RCMP are bad.. there are enough to give them a bad name, but this one was a nice guy. He sent me on my way and told me not to speed so excessively and noted that "10km/h over won't get you a ticket", and told me to get there safely.
It kind of turned my opinion around a bit, because my other dealings with police had been much like Vandicate's friend's experience. Very dick-ish.
