Default Is drilling a hole in the CAC really the solution??

I'm at 63k on my 2014 EB, I'm starting to notice the hesitation and studder while cruising at low speeds. Its been mentioned a number of times that drilling a 1/16" hole in the drivers side of the CAC will clear my problem I'm just concerned because it seems like a bandage to a more bigger problem in the future also for us Canadians dealing with Salt, Sand and other crap on the roads is this a good thing to be doing?

I would love to hear your thoughts before doing this.

Honestly if I had known about these issues and that owners should be installing this catch can system BS I would have picked the 5.0

Default Try plugs first

Your symptoms seem more like improperly gapped or worn plugs than the CAC issue. The CAC issue occurs all at once and only on heavy throttle application.

Other than whatever mess exits the hole, if you chose to drill it, there are no concerns about external conditions. There is a net pressure inside the system and only pushes the slightest amount of air OUTWARD.

I would swap new plugs gapped to 0.030" first.

Nobody but catch-can retailers are promoting their use. no need.
