Just bought a 2013 150 F/X 4 with the 5.0 litre. Anyone have any tips on the engine etc. Mileage is not good right now but I only have 1900 Kms on it.

Welcome! i am from Saskatoon as well. what are you getting for mileage.
I have a 12 FX4 6.5' box leveled with 33x12.5x20 10 ply tires and im getting
17mpg city only and i am very happy with it haha i also have the 5.0 and love it

 

I am getting about 13.7 litres/100km. that is what is showing on my fuel economy gauge. I am not sure what that equates to in miles/gallon. I tend to use the manual shift in the city and try to keep the revs down @ around 1,000 rpm's if I can. Do you know if that hurts the engine to use the manual shifter or should you just be using it when pulling a trailer.

That's considered bad fuel mileage for you?

 

I'm from saskatoon also. 08 5.4 but ibuse around 20l/100km .... heavy foot and 35s

 

I'm running around 16.5L/100km, but truck isn't really broken in yet (around 4000km), and I'm doing mostly highway speeds (take the back roads to work).
