That's crap thrown up on the truck from the road. Iron and whatnot. I get it all the time.

I usually clay bar it off in the summer months.

Looks like rail dust. Can be removed with a clay bar.

Did not thought about that rail dust. It can be that
Because it was transported via train.

Grab a product called Iron Off (iron x) iron remover those are the names it could be called. Spray it on your paint after you washed your truck and let the product go to work.

Only downside is, it stinks like fart bombs( those lil packs) and you'll have to wash and wax your truck after.

Goods,. It removes all that crap, I just used it the other day on my Audi for the 2nd time this winter.

Not necessarily. This kind of dust is collected from anywhere. It just seems that some cars attract more of it than others. I remember it was a disaster with white BMW...

The problem is that these little metal particles get stuck in the clear coat and then start rusting. That creates tiny brown-ish spots that are visible if your pain it bright.

I was able to easily remove them with the clay bar. I am usually claying my car myself in spring. Washing it well, passing the clay bar, waxing. Happy paint, happy owner

I used Chemical Guys CLY_KIT2. Easy to buy on Amazon.ca...BTW, just bought it, I have found it was on sale.
