Dad has a 2005 F150 ext cab, 5.4 Triton, auto, 150k miles, was a nice truck, bought it new. He let my nephew borrow it, it got totaled. Motor and everything runs great!
What years can we drop the drive train into without modification? He wants to find another truck with a bad motor and do a transplant.

 

Basically the '04 to '08, it might work with the '09 and '10 model years as well. (2010 was the last year for the 5.4L)

 

9 and 10 have a 6 speed tranny
