Default XLT-FX4 Interior

I am starting a project to take my gray XLT to black. I am planning on taking out the center seat and replacing it with a flow thru console. I will be moving the shifter from the colom to the console. I will be adding Black leather Clazzio covers, a flow thru dash, black carpet, FX4 instrument panel, and then painting random pieces to match the interior.

My questions are,

Will a 2005 FX4 flow thru dash fit in the XLT, and bolt in correctly? Or Does it have to come from a 2007-2008 FX4? I have researched this mod, but none of them answer this exact question.

Will FX4 or lariat black door panels fit the XLT? I have never heard of a black interior on a XLT so I figure I will have to go to another sub model for this.

Is their a part number or a way to buy the (skeleton) of the flow thru dash? just the silver part where the air vents are? This piece is basically the backbone of the dash that bolts on and everything bolts too. I will try to find a truck being parted out to do this mod but if I can't I will buy it.

The parts should be the same for the same model year, and in most cases the interior parts from the 04 should fit in most case thru 08.

I would just sell the xlt and buy an fx4. Your gonna have a fortune in door panels and console. Not to mention, the instrument cluster is different. Just think it's a huge waste of money. On a side note, it's your money and if that's how you want to spend it then go for it. Just send pics as you go is all I ask!

For some strange reason the FX4 instrument cluster is plug and play, (only having to get it programmed for miles) but the lariat cluster is not plug and play. Strange.

I would do this but after adding the lift, tires, rims, gears, and extras the resell value for the truck and buying another I would still come out ahead.

The dash/console swap would only cost me around 200 (after selling my center seat). Door panels would be pricey. Carpet is around 170. Headliner I have not priced yet. Instrument cluster would be anywhere between 50-100$ depending on the salvage yard.

I get back from Afghanistan in 9 days, so I plan to start this swap soon. All depending on how hard it is to find the parts I need in a near by salvage yard.
