I have been wanting to switch to leather seats. I feel they are easier to clean and just are nicer. I found this on ebay and they say you have to take the cloth off and replace with their leather. I have found some used leather seats on ebay before, but they don't always have exact fit ie floor shift, electric seat etc. So am I crazy for thinking about getting leather seats this way?

Ive been thinking about getting some the of the seat covers for a Roush Nightmear. Roush had some of them on there web site for sale. it was like 600 bucks. They were for standard cabs. I think thats what you have.

I have the ext. cab.... I am just not sure that it would be worth it? Can't a shop do it for about the same once you buy them and pay the labor???? Still up in the air about it..

I have been wanting these for a while. I was just goin go for the ~$200 covers, but this is definitely the better option. It seems like the company takes pride in their product. If you do it, let me know how it goes. I buy everything i can on ebay just because no seller wants bad feedback so they will almost always work with you.

That what I was thinking, but a friend of mine is trying to tell me it would be junk off of e-bay.

Their feedback seems pretty positive. It looks like they just save money by putting vinyl on the sides and back, which doesn't matter. They do have a 25% restocking fee for a return which kind of sucks, but I've dealt with big ebay sellers with NO RETURN policies that have given me a full refund and payed for return shipping to keep me from leaving negative feedback.

Maybe call around your hometown and see what others are offering for leather replacements, but these look like they would be pretty sweet. Post some before/afters if you end up getting them.

You might be able to find a set of leather seats at a bone yard for pretty cheap too. Granted they won't be real new like.. but I personally wouldn't put leather covers over a seat...

Most leather seat have vinyl on the sides and back. I believe the factory ford seats are the same way. Just a way to save money. It looks like leather and most people really don't notice a difference.
