won't start

Default won't start

2004 5.4 started it the other morning ran very rough!! finally it died ! checked codes with a scan tool anf the codes it came up with were the cam position sensors both banks. changed those out and now it just turns over almost like it is not getting spark. not sure where to go from here any help is appreciated!!!!

Not enough information....what were the codes? Did you reset the PCM (clear the codes)?

Without knowing the codes, or what diagnostics you performed to determine the the cam position sensors for BOTH sides were bad, I could only suggest you toss chicken bones up in the air and chant. Not much help for sure, but no one can diagnose your problem over this internet forum with the little information you have provided.

the codes were p0340 and p0345. the codes were reset and still nothing.
didn't do a whole lot of diagnostics as cheap as they were just replaced them. was hoping for the easy fix I guess.

Type these codes into the Google box; you will find sites that first define these faults with possible repairs, and the better sites provide a diagnostic proceedure that will show you how to narrow down the list to the most suspect component.
