Default Wiring help

Im installing some LED strips on the front of my truck but im not great with wiring. I want the strips to come on when my interior lights come on so i assume i can just tap in to a power wire for one of the interior lights, does this sound right?
But i also want to be able to turn them on with a switch without having my whole interior lights on. So can i split the power wire coming from the strip, and have one go straight to the interior power and another to a switch that connects to a constant power?

Like i said b4, not an expert on wiring so i just wanted to get some input b4 i end up having to call the fire department to put out a vehicle fire

Get a 5 leg relay and wire it like the way I wired my Aux lights, which come on when I put it in reverse or hit the switch I mounted in the cab...so it's the same principle as what you're trying to do. Here's the link to my install if it helps.

Just curious why you want them to turn on when the interior lights come on...I would have thought you'd want them on when the running lights come on

I have the LED Strips Shining into my headlight and fog light housing so that when the LEDs are off it looks like regular blacked out lights but when the leds are on the lights glow green and it looks pretty cool with the black truck. I guess i kinda got the idea from the movie the green hornet
I ordered a green LED interior lights and cargo lights as well so i just thought it might look cool for all the green lights to come on when i opened the door or unlocked the truck with the key fob. I didnt want it on when the headlights are on bc you really cant see anyof the green light when the headlights are on. This is pretty much my first time using LEDs and adding lighting so im kinda learning as i go here and hoping it comes out the way i want.
