We'd to know if this would work or it a relay would be required.

Could I use an "on off on" switch and make one power source the battery and the other the reverse light feed. So I could have it on "auto" and it cut on when in reverse but still be able to turn on otherwise? Can I do this without a relay?

 

Yes. I intend on doing it this way myself....just trying to decide what style i want.

A quick search on google turned up this wiring diagram from a competitor forum, but why reinvent the wheel!

Also the reverse wire runs in the driver side wire loom... (I can't remember the color, remember it from hooking up my auto-dim review mirror.)

This is the way I am doing mine. I got the wires run the other day just waiting for my lights and relay.
