so i was just putting on a new shorter antenna on my truck, the ground wire for the sirius radio was attached to the previous antenna. i didnt want to cut it off so i was just going to stick it under the rubber piece at the end of the wiper cowl, when i went to fold the rubber up, the rubber just crumbled. so my question is do i need to have that rubber right there? it doesnt bother me that its not there, you cant even tell unless you look at it. if i dont get a new cowl will i run the risk of rusting out through the inside of my fender because i noticed a gap between the two panels and i dont know if there is a way for water to get out. thanks in advance
