hey guys maybe ya can help i got a 04 150 lariat 4#4 the problem i am having is friday i went to car wash... when they were done i got in truck and drove away .next thing i know my windsheild washer came on and and wouldnt shut off..after messing with the control on the colomn a few tims it stopped...last night it rained and this morning when i got in the truck it did it again..what could it be ?something getting wet or multifunction switch maybe?i know the older ford had problems with the multifunction switch ...any help would be great

 

maybe the washer pump is shorting out

 

i guess it would be easy enough to unplug for a day or two and see if the wipers come on without it

 

now its coming on like every five minutes even with the washer pump unplugged

 

probably the wiper turn signal switch on the column then or a short in the wiper motor. would have to test them to single out which is the cuplrit.
