Default Window tinting both sides of the windows?

I was wondering if tinting the outside of the window would be a bad idea? the reason I ask is I have all 30% in the front (legal) and its lifetime warranty heat shielding tint (knocks off about 60% of heat from coming into the truck) I want it to be darker (you can see my 7in LCD head unit and I don't want to invite thieves) but want to be able to strip off the extra if I get pulled over; so I figured tinting both sides would solve my problems. Any ideas? Thoughts? Questions? Concerns?

Note: I have 5% on all the other windows.

Thanks!!

Ehh I've never heard of that done before. You can put a layer over top of the 30 that you have and it'll work. I have 2% on my front two and 5% on the rest and you can't see in at all. My windshield is cracked so once I get a new one I'm gonna get a 5% tint strip

But if i do that and have to strip the tint I'll have to strip it all right? And the tint I have wasn't cheap... I'd like to keep it intact and warranted. Ya know?

Yea you would have to strip it all. Yea I know what you mean, don't wanna have your money go down the drain. Do cops around you really bother for tint? They could really give a crap around me lol. If you're in a little rice burner yingin your fart can around then ya they'll get you but they usually leave people with trucks alone

Just think of how you will waste twice as much money screwing up the second layer of tint over the first. Strip off the first layer and put down a fresh 5% layer. I've seen doubled up tint and it can be way too dark and peel easily at the top edge where it meets the weather stripping.

Are you able to tint yourself? I use a supplier on eBay called "nusolis" and they have great tint. I've used it on my last three trucks and has never faded and they have great customer service. It's $25 for all the windows in your truck And it's precut

I might just do this to the outside of it. It'd be cheap and (relativity) easy. And if it did start to mess up I could just peel off the outer strip. Yes most cops around here are bored looking for something to do.

Do you have any pics looking through the tint? How well is it sticking to the glass and how straight are the cuts? I'm interested in giving it a try on my mustang, but I'm a little skeptical after some of the reviews. I've always used Solar Gard with excellent results, but this has peaked my interest.

Yepp here's some pics. It sticks very well to the glass I've never had a problem with it peeling or anything. The inside pic makes it look really purplish idk why. It has a slight purple tint to it but not as bad as the pic shows
