Default Window question.

So, I’m having window problems with my Ford. Big surprise. My back passenger window will go DOWN, but not up. To get it up, I have to straight wire it to the battery & it goes right up, but not using either door switch (driver or rear passenger).

So what needs replacing? I’m at a loss. I’m not thinking it’s the rear passenger door switch since the driver master doesn’t work either. Is it the plug that goes into that switch? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Number one issue: the wires inside the boot in the drivers side door from the truck to the door. Constant opening and closing the door will crack and break those wires. That's probably your problem. Other issue could be the switch in that door.

My issue was that the drivers controls could work the windows, but none of the other doors could open the windows with their switch. So, I checked the most obvious thing, the wires inside that boot.

you can swap back door switches to troubleshoot... most likely the master switch or like mentioned above... wires in the boot run from door to cab.

I just ordered a new switch. I’ll start there since it was relatively cheap. ($7 on Amazon). It won’t be here til after 9/3, but I’ll update then.

The funny thing Hong is the driver side has issues, too, but it’s the infamous regulator. It will go down but it goes up, oh so slow...and even then it often needs help!
