Default Window/AC/Heater

I have an 2004 4x4 Lariat. 5.4. The truck has a crate motor in it with about 40K on it, truck has a total of 150K.

I have had issues with this window for 2 years off and on. It seems to temporarily stop when replacing the master switch. It will operate for about 5 months after this without issue.

Then same issue. It will stop rolling down and every time I try to roll up or down. The fan button on A/C Panel will flash/light with each press. Its very weird. The thing is. I can open the door just right and it will work again, as long as the door is in the right position. Diagnostics show power going through fine and all things pointing to the switch.

So this brings me to the A/C and Heater. The A/C has been weak for awhile. I assumed needing charged. Today, (after installing a rough country leveling last night) my heater starts blowing cold air. I have not looked in depth yet. I just got to work. But on a short timeline before driving cross country for a military transfer.

Do you think these things are related in anyway? I am trying to pinpoint this as my drive starts next Friday. I have ordered another master switch for the windows on the driver side (my 4th one in two years). Its weird because when the issue starts, all the window switches stop working. I feel like the wiring could be a mess. Maybe a short. I am not sure. but any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is very common for the wire inside the rubber boot between the door and the body to break from the flexing caused by opening and closing the door. Since you can open the door just right and make it work I'm about 99.99% sure you have a bad wire in there. You need to trace the wires up into the boot and check them very closely. Sometimes the wire breaks inside the wire coating and it tough to find. You would want to see if any of the wire flex easier than the others inside there. As for your AC, I'm not well versed in that area so I'll let someone else answer.

Yes I was kind of thinking that as well. I am going to look at the tubing and see. Its just throws me off with the fan light on the A/C flashing everytime I press the button to roll the window up and down.
