Default Will a spring compressor work?

I haven't really looked at the situation, but would I be able to install a level kit using a spring compressor instead of tearing the whole assembly apart? So basicly just compress the coil-over. Take it out. Install the level kit. Put it back in? Or is there still not enough room?

man to be honest. We took the tires and control arms off a buddy of mines truck a week or so ago to pu ta leveling kit on and it wasnt a big deal at all. Maybe some really tight bolts but other than that it was pretty simple if you have the tools. My buddy is on this forum if you wanna talk to him. He will probably post something on here. Jtbryant80 I think

I installed the aluminum shims on mine, which require a spring compressor. I took it to 3 shops and they all claimed that there compressor would not compress them. Bull****. They just didnt want to work on it.

I wound up doing it with 2 mcphrison spring compressors, 1 set wouldnt do it, the all thread was bending. With 2 it was no problem.

I later found out that there are leveling kits that bolt to the top of the strut housing so you dont have to compress the spring...

I don't think you can do it without disassembling the front suspension.
Perhaps you could pm NGM for his opinion.
