While most are planning there next mod...
...I am trying to figure out what to fix next.
I have shared my story in acouple posts but I had some updated pictures and details since then so I figured i'd share.
Quick run down, i'm not a ford person but I felt I had to step in and give it a second chance. I purchased it a month ago. Very dirty and needed work. Good body and interior though. 174 915 miles currently. Using it for an around town truck and short trips. Not much modding, I think its a little past its time. Just getting it tuned up and making it into a reliable daily driver. I have alot of hours into cleaning the interior and only acouple into the body. Although I work at a dealer and have access to parts for a better cost, I have come across rockauto.com which I think will make the repairs alot cheaper than you would think so that will help out alot. I can't thank this forum enough for helping me become more familiar with ford and the handy how-to threads.

Picking away at my list. Bearing/seal kit as well as gears showed up today. I also had a magnaflow tip I replaced my MBRP tip with. I also picked up a couple cans of spray bed liner. The bottom rocker panels out of sight were pretty rough from a lot of gravel driving so I'm going to sand down and coat them.

Might want to be careful with the spray-in truck bed liner. If you want something that isn't going to scratch easy, and be durable/last without fading you might want to check out Al's Liner. Plus you can texture it with our spray gun, as well as color match it using automotive paint pigment.

How much did the gear job run you installed?
Just a suggestion:
You could sandblast and paint that undercarriage, it looks neglected. Home Depot has a cheapie husky sandblast gun for an air compressor for like 12 bucks... Just get some play sand and spray it down with the gun, then rattle can it with duplicolor u1000 black.. It's cheap and will help you on your quest of preventative maintenance.. I did it on a few of my vehicles through the years. I torched the play sand first to remove the moisture in it.... Just do it on a tarp so you can funnel it back into the bucket quickly....There are better media options out there besides play sand, but I've had good luck with the play sand... It takes a little while however.

The bearing/seal kit was 199.50 and the gears were 264.50. I did all the work so all I paid for was parts.
As for the undercarriage...its a work in progress. I already have acouple hours of laying under there with a garden hose washing out the mud.

Nice garage man! I'm jealous!
I would love to have a shop with lifts and such... I've got tons of experience but I treat mechanics as a hobby.
It's good to know a guy that can handle gears is on this forum, I may pick your brain for info if I ever attempt gears on my own.
