Default Wheel hub replacement

I'm going to replace the hub assemblies on my 04 xlt 5.4 HD this weekend. Just waiting for the parts to come in the mail. Any special suggestions/instructions from anyone whose done this job. I've taken them off before to inspect them when I replaced my iwes a few months back so I know how to do the job. Just wondering about things like locktite or not, greasing bearings, things like that. Let me know what you got!

Bearings are perma lubed.

You should, however, grease the mating area between the IWE and hub assy.

Other than it being a PITA to get in there and torque them properly, it's an easy job. As to loctite, don't see the need for it, it's not on the OEM bolts, just torque them to the (IIRC) 145 lb-ft and call it done.

When you take the hub off the knuckle clean the mating area with a wire brush to remove any rust.

I always add a little anti-seize to the hole in the knuckle, hub bolts, caliper bolts and wheel studs.

If you ever need to service it again the anti-seize will help you to break things free a little easier next time around.
