Default What's the REAL difference between a 2" and 2.5" level kit?

So...I ordered a set of 275/65/20R tires and they're on backorder. I have 2 weeks to find, order, and install a level kit. I was set on the HBS 2.5 kit, then I read that the FX4 06-08 sit differently than the 04-05. I have an 07 FX4 SCAB and I read the HBS will make the truck sit higher in the front. So I began researching some 2" AS kits, and they're all more pricey than then HBS. Does anyone have this set-up, 2.5 "HBS and/or 2 "AS with 275/65/20R on the stock rims ? Have I freaked myself out with the leveling being different from year to year? Is there any truth to this? Does a 2" or a 2.5" really make that big of a difference? Or do I need to just throw them on and be happy I own a Ford!?

Its only a 1/2 inch. Just measure it out and see which one you like better.

measure the height from the Ground to the Fender in the center and see how much you should go up

Just put the 2.5 HBS on my 08 yesterday and had it aligned today. Looks pretty dang level to me. I'll put the tape to it after work and let you know.

33x12.50x17 Cooper Discoverer STT Mud Terrains. Love the look of them... but could go bigger. I am very happy with the 2" AS man, i couldn't be happier with it... Plus i know about how bad a 3" level can be and a whole inch lower as opposed to a .5" difference makes me feel a little better about things... I've also heard things about a 2.5". Never heard anything about a 2". Not saying 2.5" is bad...

Also, i couldn't feel a difference in ride with the level kit. Don't go to a shop and do it, it is very easy to do it yourself. The instructions say you don't need to remove the strut, but TRUST me, it is 10x easier to just remove the strut. Air tools make that bottom bolt a breeze, i did everything in an hour and 15min..

Definitely take the strut off. I tried to follow the instructions that said don't and ended up taking it off anyways. I was able to get the nut on the bottom with a wrench and breakover bar (I am a pretty good size guy tho)

Th the guys with the AS 2". How big is your spacer? Just curious if the different brands did the math different and ended up with the same result with a half in difference
