Default What's the most affordable option to replace ruined seats in 2005 ford f150 xl

Hello everyone just joined the forum. My dad bought a 2005 ford f-150 xl supercab 4.6l v8 and the seats are completely ruined. We got it for less than half the blue book value because of the seats hence the reason we bought it. Anyways the seats in both front and back are ruined with oil. like car oil all over the seats. How does this happen???? We have no clue. But anyways my dad needs to know if you can just buy the foam for the bottom of the seats or should we just buy used seats from the junkyard or something. I managed to come across this on craigslist. The truck does have bench seats that are manual. Since everything says 2004-2004 I was just wondering if it really is just those years that are compatible or if anyone knows on here if it would be. We think the oil problem is so bad that it's like inside the seats and the smell would be like impossible to get rid of. I tried doing a lot of research on seat compatibilty but just not finding anything useful so figured id give this a go. My dad is also not looking to spend more than half a thousand. Thanks everyone. God bless you all.

Junkyard would be your best bet.

2004 (non heritage) to 2008 super cab seats are the ones that'll fit. Super crew front seats have pillar mounted seatbelts so they won't work in your truck. Regular cab front seats will work in your truck, but they obviously don't come with a back seat.

I picked these up for $425. Found off of Craigslist. The guy was parting out his truck. My old tan cloth seats were absolutely destroyed. There's always a deal out there.

Some bolts, a 5 gallon bucket, then screw it to the floor and tie a piece of rope to your self for a seat belt.
