I also added a stabilus ez down tailgate assist. It took me about 15 minutes to install and now my tailgate lowers by itself and doesn't slam down or hurt any females that try to open my tailgate. It also cost me about 35 dollars from oreilly auto parts

You can google to see which wire. I don't recall. Basically just tap into the blinker going into the headlight.

I got the lights at an auto parts place like AutoZone or O'Reilly. They come in sets of 2 in different lengths. Mine are 12". You can also get them online. Superbrightleds.com has then in various lengths.

I'm considering putting a set of 4" ones on the outside edge of my rear bumper. Since I have 2 trailer plugs (and even still I almost never pull a trailer) I might make a plug instead of tapping into the harness.

if you want to get a leveling kit, i would definitely go with the adjustable bilstein 5100's i have a 2004 f150 as well and my shocks are bad so you get better and stiffer shocks and your truck also gets leveled. but its more than 100 dollars per bilstein 5100 leveling shock
