You could go with a gryphon!!!! They customize tunes for your truck and your mods!!! Lots of guys running them here! When i get some extra cash i'll be buying the gryphon CS!

I just bought a used Diablosport Predator. It will have tunes on it for your K&N Intake.
I put a premium Airaid tune on my truck yesterday, and it definitely pulls harder, and shifts a lot firmer. I love it. It was definitely worth the $140 I payed for it.
Buying it brand new though, I don't know if I could justify spending the $350 on it.

yea you should efinatley try and find a used one, programmers are nice but they just dont add enough to gas engines to really justify the $300-$400 dollars IMO. dont get me wrong though, i love my Evo but if i could do it again i would of looked for something used instead of buying new.

SCT. I had an Evo and was going to get a Gryphon since I have CAI, High Flow Headers, Dual Exhaust, etc, but I didnt want someone to tune my truck from hundreds of miles away. With the SCT, you can use the canned tunes (from the factory) and get great improvements (gas mileage has been excellent, better than my Evo). You can also go to a local SCT Authorized dealer and they can dyno tune your truck and you can save it, up to 3 additional. That means you get the 3 canned tunes (and btw, unlike the Evo, I can make 87, 89, or 93 an economy/tow settin just by toggling it during the setup) plus the 3 spots for custom tunes. At any case, buy used if you can. It is the best way. I found my SCT for 315, new. Good luck!
