Default What do you think about this offer??!

So my buddy is shopping for a truck and offered me 20k cash for my truck and is serious about it. It's an 04 with 116k. Nothing wrong with it at all, and has all the stuff listed in my sig. I'd sell it with the lift and tires and everything. He drools every time he sees it haha. I love this truck but that seems like a really good offer to me.. I'm torn whether I should sell it or not. If I do ill get back into the diesel world and start another project. What do y'all think I should do?? Thanks!

man I was in the same boat a few weeks ago.. had friend in from outta town and made me an offer. I said NO, to get another truck and do everything I have done and will do in the future it wasn't worth it... Now your truck if it were bone stock isnt worth 20k but I guess you've got 10K worth of upgrades. do the math and weigh your options.. eithger way nice looking rig man!

Guess it really depends if you've got the time and $$ for another project. Your truck looks great, but if you have the flow and want to get into something else, that's a pretty solid offer on an '04 with that many miles, even with the mods.

Of course, my luck would be that I sell it and 2 weeks later the tranny goes out or something, so I'm always leary of selling stuff to my buddies for that reason.

I love my truck, but I'd take the money and run, right down to a Ford dealership and sign for a '13 5.0.

I'd agree, but it all depends on how much money you have to play with, because another truck is going to be more money. I had someone give me a great offer on my truck, because I take such good care of it, but i don't have the money to buy another truck and modify it again.

Sell and buy another 04-08! You can get basically the same truck for 11-13K and to the mods again for 5K and you made 4-5K. Maybe get a different color and do different wheels and tires. Maybe go bigger lift etc. the possibilities are endless!

If he's a good friend you could help him find a similar truck and help him build it about the same as yours is so he could have basically the same truck but could change it a little to add his own little touches

For $20k you better take it and run! From my experience upgrades and mods don't add a ton of value to a truck although it does add some. With 116k miles that is a more than fair offer, although I hate selling to friends especially for that much.
