Default What do U call it?

Have a 2004 F150 4.2 V6 Heritage. On top of the engine...close to the throttle is a sensor of some sort. The throttle position sensor is to the left
below it. This sensor of some sort is bolted down with two bolts. The throttle
position sensor has two phillips head bolts or screws. What is it called and what does it do...can I take it off and clean it? Thanks for your reply!!!

I may be wrong, as I don't have a heritage edition, but isn't that the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor?)
