We did not check the compression in any of the other cylinders as the misfire was (and still is) only in cylinder #1. And, I was feeling pretty good about getting the spark plug out in one piece.

I am now on my second set of tensioners in less than 3k miles, and the chain jumping, breaking guides, chewing up the cover and crank timing sprocket are only on the right side. Am I having issues with oil flow to that guide? That whole side of the engine?

Clearly something has been missed, but I really don't think there is any wear on the cam.

Could be that a piece of the guides has plugged something or there is a sludge build up. You need to have an oil pressure test performed as it sounds like the tensioners aren't operating properly.

As others mentioned, check oil pressure
