There is a black box down and to the right of the steering wheel. Anyone have any ideas of what this might be?

its a brake controller for a 5th wheel

Or just trailer brakes. If you ever hook a trailer you can set the gain on the brakes. The slide on top of the box allows you to test the brakes on the trailer..

Well guys, i think you helped me out quite a bit then. I was thinking about buying this truck but I don't want to buy one that has been used to pull a trailer a lot.
