Just picked up the Amsoil BKM-13 and filters w/AMK-01 pre-oiler. Trying to find info on the "on-ignition wire" for the red positive feed hook-up. Can anyone help?

 

Had a Ford service tech try and tell me that by putting on an remote dual-filter system it would void the warranty.......any truth to this matter? How is it that by improving the oil cleaning w/o reducing the oil flow, and cooling it as well would void the warranty? How could they ever tell what I screw on or what I don't screw on?

 

You wouldn't be able to tell if the system is pulled out before it went in for warranty work, but if it is still on the engine then they can claim the engine has been modified and void the warranty, its just an easy out for them to save some money.

 

Seeing the unit is removed as if it were any ordinary filter and the bracket is held in place by (4) 6mm bolts, I can have the unit off, new spare standard filter on and add a quart of oil in less than 15 minutes.............they can pack sand in the south end of a north bound Bull!

 

They always feel that if it not Motorcraft that it's junk.
