The newer ford emblems are two pieces so they can be taken apart, painted and then reassembled.

Just have a body shop weld in some steel over the hole, blend it with the tailgate, and then you'll never have to worry about it falling off again because it'll be removed completely. Lol

You'll still have the emblem on the grill and the steering wheel, plus on the key if it's still the original. Don't worry.
