Default Weird Start-up prcedure

Well, I noticed about a month ago that when I start my truck up, it starts up, then immediately revs up to about 2000-2500 rpms for a second, and then goes back down.. it is worse when it has sat for a whole day or so, and sometimes when I start it it drops the idle all the way down and barely wants to stay running. I have a new fuel filter in it about 3,000 miles ago, and the truck has 80,000 on it. 5.4L also. Anyone have this issue or similar and know a cause or how to fix it? Thanks!

Well I did that about a 2 years ago when I put my CAI on.. guess I should do it again. If I just unhook my intake tube from the trottle body can I just spray TBC into it? will it hurt it?

Do you think spraying cleaner and washing all that residue or whatever else is in there into your intake will be helpful to your engine? Or do you think taking the TB off and THEN cleaning it would be better?
