Default Weird issue

2004 Lariat 4x4 @172m miles. Curious if you can help me narrow an issue I have with this truck. Whenever I apply the gas pedal and I have to accelerate I get a feeling of a "bad road feel" but when I release the pedal I don't get that feeling and rides smooth. It only happens when I have to accelerate or slightly apply the gas pedal. Is this a simple fix? Hopefully this makes sense to you all

Is it kind of like you hit a rumble strip? Have you towed in overdrive lately? Does it do it with overdrive off?

If it only occurs when in overdrive then there is fluid residue buildup on the torque converter clutch. A transmission flush(not the rapid lube drain and refill), but an actual full flush will fix it. Try driving with overdrive off for a couple of weeks and often the buildup will come off. If that works it's likely time for transmission flush. If you're towing heavy loads in overdrive stop doing that too.
