Default Wedding and honeymoon paid!!! Time for a lift kit!!!!

OK Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am at the point of decision for choosing a LIFT KIT. My wedding is next weekend and honeymoon right after- both are now completely paid for (mostly by me) and the soon to be wifey has given me the "ok" to spend some of the "wedding gift money" that's come in so far on my truck.

Now, I have an 08 FX4 SCREW currently on 35 NITTO TRAIL GRAPS and a 2 inch level- not nearly big enough.... I want to go to with 37's or 38's. I need to go with at least a 6 inch lift. I am willing/wanting to go 8 inch possibly...
I have a buddy who owns his own custom shop here in Nashville and he's going to let me get the kit at his cost but charging me for labor. There are sooo many kits out there I am getting twisted on which way to go. I do use my truck as its built for- I do go off road and play, so I do want a well performing kit not something basic that just gets the truck up but rides like ****. I want reliability and durability. I want a kit that will replace all the components that are affected with lifting a truck- Steering stuff, tie rods, shocks, struts etc... I have turned to this forum since I got my truck and have gotten great help every time so I am turning to you all once again. With your responses please be as detailed as possible, I really want to know why certain kits are better than others, what you paid for your kit and labor-separate please, links to online sites that have these kits too and any pics would be great!. Cost isn't a huge factor in this, I am going for quality but my "Stage 2" list has some other pricey mods on it that I'd like to get too.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

Go rise ind. lift or BDS

If you want 37s or 38s it will more than likely have to be over a 6in lift. My basic rough country 6in rubs a little at full lock but that due to my offset wheels (I like them to stick out some) and I have 35 nittos trail graps

Can't really go wrong with a 8" BDS or Rize! Both are VERY nice kits and they're pretty affordable! One thing about BDS is they have no fine print, meaning their stuff is warrantied so if anything breaks they will replace it. I've always liked Rize as well, they're stuff is really quality and it looks great! Most if the time, everything you need to jac the truck up comes in the kit like all the steering components and everything.

Yeah thats what I keep hearing. Talked with my buddy that has a shop. BDS is the route we're gonna go (as of now). now trying to figure out what shocks/struts to go with.

If you want a PERFORMANCE system, get coilovers with resvoirs and rear performance shocks. I have dirt logics in my rear but factory with spacer up front looking to upgrade front coilovers to king or icon. Either way you go man, Rize or BDS, you will LOVE either one. Both very great quality kits! I have a 6 inch Fabtech and it is great as well.
