Spark knock!

 

Im 600 into parts. Shops telling me fords ping all the time an this is out an this is out oh yeah this too. Well there full of doodoo. Shes fixed now an purs like a little kitten on estacy.

I read in your previous post that you bench tested and didn't find any injectors clogged. Just curious since mine is starting to ping worse how did you find that it was partly clogged later?

 

Ment to say none were bad as in not working. None of them really sprayed cleaner across the room untill I ran seam foam, throttle body cleaner, kn cleaner through them. I did replace one injector; #6 because it wouldnt seal up an was spraying gas when I hooked it back up.

You can reuse the little blue o ring but you HAVE to lube it up!

Four screws hold the fuel rail on. Take them out and yank up hard on pass side first. Gas going to squirt out but it will stop next yank driver side. Watch out for top o ring because it will stick to fuel rail. Next 0art is yanking up injector; there a big pita to pull out but they will come. Line them all up when you put them back in. Then push rail down hard till you hear click, and then put back screws

To test them I used a atv battery and tubing.
Hook tube to injector and put carb cleaner straw in it
Spray it while touching your wires on terminals
Do short burst until the clean.
Mine had tacky brownish tar on them

Soaked them in seafoam then kn filter cleaner then blasted carb cleaner through em

 

Did you notice any difference after cleaning the injectors?

 

Definitely
