Default Voltage Regulator problem?

Hey all

Im having a strange issue happening. When I first noticed it, nothing was happening on the cluster except for the airbag light on. Along with that, I had no dome light or power for the windows. At one point, my 4x4 was trying to engage. Then, all power to the cluster went out and so did my 4x4 trying to engage. Also, at one point my battery light would be the only thing on. So when I got home, I put a meter on the battery with the truck running and I was getting 16.5v. I知 pretty confident this is not good.

Could this be a sign of a faulty voltage regulator? Typically I associate a battery that won稚 hold a charge being a bad alternator. This problem seems to be opposite. When I initially start the truck, I値l have power to gauges and cluster but with the battery light on, and eventually I値l lose the power to it but the airbag light will be lit. Any help would be appreciated! I知 lost on this one.

Thank you

Steve

have battery and alternator tested. Then inspect/clean/tighten cabling, terminals and grounds.

then reply back with updates.

So initial observance after cleaning terminals and putting back on, I知 getting a reading of 13.7-13.9V, and everything electrically seems to be ok inside
