Default Voiding your warrenty

I'd like to do some mods to my truck like everyone else on here. I have an 07 f150 fx4 with 40,000 miles on it. I'm wondering if I put a CAI on will it void my 60,000 mile powertrain warrenty? Same goes for putting 20" rims with 33" tires. Any idea?

Who cares, if something went wrong just put the stock one back on.

They can only void it as long as they can figure that the mod effected the problem caused. So not really. Just put your stock components back on if a problem happens

My ford doesn't care for oversized rims/tires nor so much on tuners

The other stuff like tranny upgrades, gears, electric fans they look down upon

wheels and an intake wont effect the warrenty. like others have said, just remove the mods if you have to

Just to let y'all know if you have engine or tranny problems and you use a tuner, ford can tell in the mode 9 data in the pcm. If they call for that data the dealer will be charged back for that repair and you could receive a bill for that repair. Other than tuner, nos, or any other power adder that can make the engine run lean they don't care.

So should I wait to put a CAI on? I don't want to have the CAI make it run lean, then to fix that I could go get a tuner. If that voids the warranty then I should prolly wait? Unless the CAI doesn't make it run lean?

Ford doesn't care about a CAI. Or as I call the" cold water intakes." As long as there hasn't been a tuner on it. Either way the money your going to spend on a CAI isn't worth any gain you get out of it without other more costly mods.
