So I have this remote start and when I use it the truck will start for about 8 seconds then turn off/restart then turn off/restart then turn off.

Sometimes it wil start and stay running on first try. Sometimes it does the three start/stop routine.

It has nothing to do with distance (ive been next to it or in house) or battery in remote.

any ideas?

i would guess a tach issue or an immobilizer bypass if your vehicle has one.

Check the tach wire. If your using the wireless tach method I would suggest trying the actual wire method.
