Default Violent shaking?

Heres the situation:

'05 5.4L 45k miles

I just filled up the tank and was driving on the freeway about 15 minutes later and all of a sudden, like someone flipped a switch, the truck started shaking/vibrating violently. This is happening at all speeds and rpm's, but going down hill when I pull off the accelerator you don't feel it much. You can feel it all through the cab and even passengers noticed it right away. Even at idle its shaking. Looked under the hood and the entire engine is shaking pretty bad, you can see the fluids sloshing around pretty bad.

Anyone got a clue what this could be? I'm just surprised as to how it went from perfect to this in seconds. No check engine light or codes thrown.

Thanks

That was the first thing we thought of. Going into further investigation soon.

My truck occasionally shakes between 50-60 mph. I thought it was the tires, but I just recently had my tires replaced. It still does the shaking maybe once a week but I can't figure it out yet.

have you used your E-brake recently? i remember when my dad use to use his at the boat launch on the ride home the truck would just start shaking and it was somthing to do with the E brake. would have to pull over put the ebrake on then release it again.

I would see if the e-brake cable is sticking. If that is not the issue does your truck have a limited slip rear axel? That could be the cause as well. I have a 05 with 65,000 and the clutch packs are shot.
