Default Vibration

Hi,
For the past few weeks now i've had a slight to moderate vibration which only occurs after driving for 10-15 minutes. The vibration shakes the entire truck(2004 f-150 screw) and shakes the steering wheel, it also gets worse when the brakes are applied. Prior to the vehicle warming up there are no vibrations at all, it only seems to occur after the vehicle has warmed up. Any help at all would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you had a front alignment? Does it do it at all speeds? Does the check engine light flash whille it does it? I would start with a front end alignment.

Default vibration

It usually seems to start around 40-50mph and shakes all the way to a complete stop when braking. Also, the check engine light does not come on.

Check front rotors. If one (or both) are warped, this can cause a vibration when brakes are applied. What puzzles me though is your first statement that the vibration happens without brakes applied as well.

Could be a belt seperation in one of the front tires; may want to try a rotation to see if it goes away. If it were a suspension item, I'd think it would be immediate, and not after 10 or 15 minutes of driving.

It might be a caliper starting to hang. It might be dragging on the rotor which would explain the delay in vibration, takes it awhile to get the rotor hot enough to distort.

I had the same problem with my 05. After you get the shake, stop and feel the wheels. If one is really hot, your caliper is starting to hang. I replaced the caliper and all has been well since. Don't let it go too long though. Aside from damaging your rotor, a coworker of mine had his wheel completely lock up on him because he never got around to fixing it.
