I have a 2005 f150 and when you stop and turn to the left and take off the truck will vibrate. I first thought it was torque converter but it only does it when u turn to the left. And there is also a clucking noise when you go from reverse to drive. Could this be related in anyway. The rear end has been rebuilt already the only thing it needs is a carrier cage and the shop said that it don't have to be replace right away the only thing it will do is wear the axle bearings out again.

 

to me, and I am NO mechanic, it sounds like it might be suspension or steering. Only left turns? Maybe brakes. Have you taken a look at any of those components yet? 4wd or 2wd?

 

Its 4 wheel drive. I put all new roders and pads on the truck my self and a new break caliper on the driver side. When I took it to have alignment check they said all c.f. axles and all that looks good

 

Check your:
- Calipers (caliper pistons in this truck are made of basically a crappy ceramic and frequently shatter - this happened to me and I experienced similar turn-only vibration)
- Parking brake shoes (well-known for hanging up inside the rotor; the scissor lever actuators suck and rust solid, not letting the shoes retract)
- Tie rod ends, maybe even ball joints while you're down there

The shift klunk is "normal" on these trucks. Something about the rear diff being pretty loose. I've had mine checked out multiple times and everything is fine. You're just hearing the pinion gear being spun by the drive shaft and picking up speed, then suddenly being stopped by the ring gear once the gap between the two gears is closed by the spinning of the pinion going the other direction after the shift.

 

Ok. I'll check everything in the front to see I'd I can find anything. When your truck done the vibration was the hole truck. And on the cluck it did not do it before the rear end was rebuilt and it didn't do it right after, it just started doing about four months ago all at once

Yes, the whole truck vibrated. That's what made me consider the drive shaft. I couldn't pin down a single point, which led me to believe it had to be something affecting the entire truck and not just one section.
